Terms of use

Version 1 · in force from 12 October 2026

These terms cover your use of the wattora.eu website, the Wattora app and the service linked to Wattora CORE, the device that reads your plant's data. By using the app or creating an account you accept them. We wrote them in plain words: if anything is unclear, write to us.

Who we are and what we offer

Wattora is a project whose company is being set up. Until then the service is offered by its founders, Damiano Alessi, Pietro Argenton and Stefano Mancone; after that the company will offer it, and we will tell you. The service shows your home's energy (solar production, consumption, battery, grid exchange), estimates how much you save on your bill and forecasts production and consumption. It is free during the pilot. If you install the app from the App Store or Google Play, their terms apply too, but we, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the app and the service.

Your account

• Your account is personal: don't share your password. The people you live with can have their own accounts linked to the same home. • Use an email address you check: we need it to confirm your account and to let you recover your password. • If you think someone knows your password, change it or write to us right away. • You can close your account whenever you like. What we delete, and how quickly, is in the privacy policy.

What you can and can't do

You may use the service for your home, or for homes you look after with the consent of the people who live there. You may not: • link to your account a Wattora CORE that isn't yours or wasn't entrusted to you; • access, or try to access, other homes' data or our systems beyond what the app allows you; • overload the service with automated requests, or use it for unlawful purposes. If that happens we may suspend the account, warning you first where we can.

The device and your plant

Wattora CORE reads data from your inverter over your home network. Connect it only to a plant you own, or one whose owner has authorised you. Without your explicit, separate consent, Wattora does not change your inverter's or battery's settings: it only reads them. Your electrical installation, your inverter's warranty and your contract with your energy supplier stay as they are.

Estimates and forecasts

Savings, costs and forecasts are estimates, worked out from the data we receive and from your bill. They may differ from what your supplier charges you: your bill is what counts. Weather and production forecasts can be wrong. Don't use the app for decisions on which the safety of people or property depends.

Pilot phase

The service is in development. Features and screens may change, and there may be interruptions or missing data, for instance when we update our servers or when the device loses its connection. We do our best to avoid this and to let you know, but at this stage we can't guarantee an uninterrupted service.

Liability

We are liable for damage caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and your rights as a consumer under the law always remain. Otherwise, since the service is free and in its pilot phase, to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect damage, such as missed savings or decisions taken on the basis of the estimates.

Software and data

The app, the Wattora CORE software and the website are ours: you may use them for the service, not copy or resell them. Your home's data stays yours: we use it only as described in the privacy policy, and you can ask us for a copy at any time.

If we change these terms

If we change them in a way that affects you, we will tell you with a message in the app or by email at least 15 days in advance. Each version has a number and a date. If you don't agree, you can close your account before the new version comes into force.

Governing law and courts

Italian law applies. For disputes with a consumer, the courts of the place where the consumer lives have jurisdiction. Before it comes to that, write to us: we always look for a solution.
